How to read these numbers
This page lists all 360 community water systems in Pennsylvania with UCMR 5 PFAS results, across 65 counties. We compare each one with our 0.5 ng/L PFAS-4 benchmark and with the 4.0 ng/L federal MCL for PFOA and PFOS, which applies from April 2029. UCMR 5 results do not indicate compliance or noncompliance with the PFAS drinking water standards. The samples come from entry points, with 3 to 4 ng/L reporting limits. Pennsylvania also enforces its own PFAS MCLs under 25 Pa. Code Chapter 109 (PFAS MCL Rule) (table above). State monitoring: initial monitoring 2024, quarterly compliance monitoring since 2024; statewide results summary xlsx refreshed semi-annually. Regulation data retrieved September 19, 2026.
